EL BOSQUE
September 7, 2023
from 06 pm to 00 am
An electronic live set, which will try to mix theater, dance and techno music.
On the stage of Terni’s Roman amphitheater comes ‘El Bosque,’ the new project of Italian director and artist Desiderio Sanzi.
‘Mirtillo’ The project is a spin-off connected to his latest work as a director, the short film ‘Mirtillo’ born after the public exhibition ‘Malebolge’ made at the end of 2019 curated by Lorenzo Rubini inside the former Church of Amelia.
“‘Mirtillo,’ performed by Desiderio himself, is not only a multimedia project that combines together film, painting and performance research, but is also a magmatic universe that mixes electronic music with the artist’s creative and dreamlike world between folklore mythology and pop culture, from banshees (fairy women) to witches.
This staged project, which winds through different media and forms of expression, was anticipated in 2022 by the photographic exhibition ‘Magnum Opus’ that took place within GC2Contemporary in Terni and will be fully visible in the various chapters of film Mirtillo.

The ‘El Bosque’ project “becomes an opportunity to unite all these elements in a real-time narrative, in the form of an electronic live set, which will try to mix theater, dance and techno music, another of the artist’s passions, which sees him founder of Coocuyo, Cuba’s electronic music magazine and soon to be producer of electronic music

Premiere
Watch the last stage of the festival, the full video of Mirtillo’s performance, along with the performers and me, for the first time as a VJ.
The mapping done during the live performance was done correctly, so even though it was the first time for me and I consider my performance very raw, the experience was really exciting.
